Sometimes we reinvent the wheel and think it was our idea….

I grew up in the 60’s.  So it may not surprise you to know that many years ago I “inhaled”. (I have exhaled also many times since then.)

So In what must have been 1966, after “inhaling”, I was thinking. (I’ve also done that many times since.)

I thought, “Hmmm there’s the word “psyche” for “mind”. And then hmmmm….there’s the word “ology” meaning “the  study of.”

Then I thought, “Wow. Wouldn’t this be a great word – one that combined these two – “psyche” and “ology?”

And I told my friend, Bill Cervetti,  “Dig this, Bill. I’ve just come up with this incredible new word, “Pscyhe-ology.” It combines “psyche” for mind with “ology” for study of.  It would mean you know the study of the mind!

And he said, ‎”Dave, that’s already a word!

I said, “WHAT!?”

And then it dawned on me.  And I said “YEEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!”  Psychology!  Too much!”
