About the Workshop:
One of the most important benefits a therapist can provide is very effective work with the neck and with thoracic outlet syndrome. At least one out of four clients will present with symptoms of neuromuscular neck pain. The good news is massage therapy - when the therapist is thoroughly familiar with the anatomy of the anterior and posterior neck as well as techniques for all these muscles - is often the most efficacious response to this pain and tension syndrome.
In Clinical Massage for the Neck and Thoracic Outlet Syndrome you will learn about:
- The causes of Neuromuscular Neck Pain and Thoracic Outlet Syndrome
- Postural Distortions
- Anatomy of the Neck, Arm and Torso
- Traditional treatments
The soft tissue manipulations you will learn and practice will be closely supervised with instructor guidance on the techniques and body mechanics:
- Superficial Fascial Assessment
- Myofascial Release
- Deep Longitudinal Stripping
- Static Compression
- Active Engagement mobilizations and Stretches
For many therapists this will be the first time to really have a thorough set of powerful techniques to dramatically help people with Neuromuscular Neck Pain and Thoracic Outlet Syndrome.
