Over the last year, I have seen a drastic influx of jobs available for Massage Therapists. But you don’t have to trust me – the proof is seen all over. Check Craigslist, job boards, and businesses with ‘now hiring’ signs. It all points to the fact that Massage Therapists are in-demand.
I can only speculate on the reasons why, but statistics indicate that more and more people are incorporating massage therapy as a part of their health regimen.
In fact, “79% of 25 to 35 year olds would like their health insurance plan to cover massage,” according to the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB). And employers are answering this request for massage as an employee benefit.
Some of the employers who include massage as a benefit include Allstate, FedEx, Gannett, General Electric, Hewlett-Packard, Home Depot, Texas Instruments and, Yahoo!” according to NCBTMB.
With not only the general public, but employers embracing the idea of massage therapy as a health benefit, Massage Therapists are more in-demand than ever.
